Shaded Pole Fan Motor Principle
The set-pole fan motor is a common motor, and its structure has one more set-pole winding than an ordinary motor. The pole winding is located in the pole housing of the motor and maintains a certain gap with the stator core of the motor.
The working principle of the set-pole fan motor is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When alternating current is supplied to the stator winding, a rotating magnetic field will be generated. This rotating magnetic field produces an induced current in the pole winding. This induced current generates a magnetic field, which interacts with the stator magnetic field to produce a rotational torque. This rotational torque will cause the rotor of the motor to rotate, thereby driving the fan blades to rotate.
The set-pole fan motor has the advantages of simple structure, low manufacturing cost, and low operating noise. Since the magnetic circuit of the shaded pole winding is closed, it has higher efficiency and at the same time, its size and weight are smaller under the same power.
